There are some great jokes on this excellent 'Peace Refuge' site. I
look forward to exploring it in more detail.
At our London Centre a few weeks ago we watched a video of Guru
telling jokes. They were supplied by different countries and dedicated
to those countries. It was very funny but also very sweet and charming
to see Guru in this way.
Sorry for not posting for some time. Too much pressure as term ends
next week and I'll be leaving that school. I have many projects to
complete.
Next Tuesday is last day and we have two full-scale weddings with the
year 10 classes. The material for bride and bridesmaids 'dresses' is
ready, the alter cloth and cross, the long 'stole' for the Minister,
the paper flowers and confetti, the Order of Services and a 'script'
for the services are done and students have rehearsed - but I still
have to sort out the music, get plastic cups and paper plates and
check on those who said they are making the cakes and bringing
cameras. Last year we had a great mural like a stained glass window as
a backdrop but it disappeared when we moved classrooms at Christmas. I
think I'll just cover the board with a drape of some kind....
I'm looking forward to Wednesday when my colleague and I will go in to
take down all the wall displays and finish packing everything up as
next year RE will move to the new building.
Still no job sorted out for September. I didn't take the Worcester
one. I've applied for a part-time one not far from London but it came
up so late they will interview next term. Something will happen.
Meanwhile summer is in full glory and the barley is ripening fast.
They will start harvesting it soon.
Thanks Grega
